Visual Forensics
Reverse Image Search Launcher
For matching backgrounds, landmarks, vegetation, or cloud patterns against a location, the actual working method is reverse image search across multiple engines — each has different index coverage and visual-similarity matching. This page sends your image straight to each engine; nothing passes through this site.

Search Engines
Yandex and Google have the strongest visual-similarity matching for landscapes/landmarks. Run several — coverage varies a lot by region.
Workflow for cloud / landscape / background clues
- Crop tightly to the distinctive background element (mountain silhouette, building, signage, vegetation type) before searching — engines match better on a focused crop than a full scene.
- Cloud shapes themselves aren't searchable or location-specific (they're not unique identifiers) — but architecture style, vegetation/biome, road markings, license plates, signage language/script, and utility infrastructure (power lines, sockets) are. Use those as your visual anchors.
- Cross-reference candidate locations against the Shadow Geo and EXIF tools on this site to confirm.
